Easter Performance
On Thursday 26th March, it was a pleasure to welcome parents, carers, and family members to our Easter performance. The children sang beautifully and read with great confidence, helping to bring the Easter story to life in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Their performance shared not only the events of Holy Week and the Resurrection, but also the true message of hope, new life, and joy that Easter brings.
We are incredibly proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and reverence the children showed. Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported the children—it was a wonderful celebration of our school community and our faith.
Friday 20th March
It was lovely to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with a beautiful Mass attended by our school community, parishioners, and colleagues from Our Lady Help of Christians Trust. It was a special occasion for everyone involved.
During the Mass, we also took time to remember our colleague and friend, Emma Lister as St Patrick’s Day marks a year since her passing.
This afternoon, the children will be taking part in an art competition inspired by Emma’s work as an illustrator. It has been wonderful to see how excited they are to celebrate her legacy through their own creativity.
We were also delighted to welcome Marie Corbett, an ex‑colleague who kindly took the day off to join us for this special occasion. Marie generously provided medals and prizes for the children, which has added something extra special to the day.
Friday 13th March,
Eighteen children from St Patrick’s attended Mass with Fr Ravi as part of their preparation for First Holy Communion. The eighteen children who celebrated Mass also received the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
It was wonderful to see so many parents there supporting them. At the end of the service, the children spoke about how their hearts felt lighter and how they felt closer to God after receiving the sacrament.
11.3.26 The Visit of Bishop Mark
On Wednesday 11th March, we were delighted to welcome Bishop Mark Davies, Bishop of the Diocese of Shrewsbury, who led a special assembly for our children and staff. Bishop Mark spoke about his role within the Church, the importance of the Catholic faith, and how it has shaped his own life. He encouraged the children to allow their faith to guide and inspire them as they grow.
Bishop Mark also praised the school for the children’s excellent singing, their exemplary behaviour, and their strong understanding of their Catholic identity, particularly in relation to our parish community of St Patrick’s.

Big Lent Walk 2023
Tuesday 28th March and Wesdnesday 29th March
Our Lent Walk took us out of school and down to Apley Woods where we walked around the forest and around the lake. Over 120 children participated. We enjoyed being outside in the scenic surroundings and we even spotted a few squirrels and ducks along the way! The weather conditions were not great, but the children showed commitment and resilience as they knew they were walking for a really important cause. We raised over £200 in total.
